While Caye Caulker is not hosting their annual lobster fest due to COVID-19, the anticipated event, which celebrates the opening of the lobster season, is set to take place in San Pedro Town. On Friday, June 11th, the San Pedro Lobster Festival committee announced a schedule of events revealing the different venues of this year’s Lobster Crawl. Traditionally this culminates with a block party at Central Park; however, there will be no block party this year.

The Lobster Crawl is a popular festival component, and crawlers are invited to visit the participating establishments. Crawlers are provided with a Lobster Fest passport, which they get stamped at each participating business while enjoying amazing deals in food and drinks. As in previous years, each passport stamp allows the Crawler to win a grand raffle prize. The passports are available at the participating business establishments.

For the last 12 years, the San Pedro Lobster Festival has been taking place, except in 2020, when COVID-19 canceled all planned events in the country. This year, the celebration is returning, but with some changes to make the festivity safe for everyone.

The committee thanks everyone who is supporting and making 2021 Lobster Fest possible. Mark your calendar; this is an event you do not want to miss!
